Hey Guys, Welcome to a brand new article of Sai Ansul's Blog. Today I'll be talking about the learning and my short opinion of Hashnode's 3rd Bootcamp. The speaker of the day was Sam Julien , he is a Developer Advocate Engineer and a Google Developer Expert for Angular and Web Technologies.
Consistent Small Wins: The secret to build a new skill.
The 3 key points I learned there was:
- Never-Ending cycles
- Difficult to cross things off the list
- Overwhelming to know what to create
What causes us to grow?
We grow by challenging things quickly and getting feedback.
The challenges are:
- Trackable
- Measurable
- Production-Focused
Getting Feedback
- Does it work?
- Learning in group
- Learning in public
The main thing is to build your own content system.
The key points to follow while making anew system are:
- Draft: to gather the notes. create an outline.
- Create: to write, add image, or record audio and all
- Publish: to publish on your own site, add social images, cross posting
- Promote: to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Chat groups, Forums, etc.
- Garden: to update over time, maintain and correct cross link
Since this is a long process, let us understand in small steps.
There are three tools
- Scratch pad
- Task Manager
- Knowledge Base
The 3 tips by Sam were:
- In beginning, move fast define your process
- Start with what you know
- Don't over engineer too quickly
The 2 phases are:
- Creation phase &
- Post publication phase
1. Every content has its price tag
2. Provide direct value on each platform
3. Be Patient
Lets recap about the whole sessions:
The need of consistence:
- Think like an exlorer
- System > Motivation
- Action+Speed+Feedback=Growth
Tools
- Scratch pad
